Job Description: Systems Analyst / Engineer (786) The Systems Concepts and Requirements IPT of the National Team is seeking individuals who are creative and think-out-of-the-box to support end-to-end analysis within the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) mission area and to expand concepts and capabilities for the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Perform analysis of Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) components to support the systems engineering process developing performance requirements for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) as a member of the System Concepts and Requirement (SC&R) product team within the “National Team” System Engineering organization. Perform BMDS requirements analyses utilizing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools based on MATLAB to support development of system engineering products for MDA. Develop reports and briefings to be reviewed within the National Team for release to the MDA Customer. Participate in technical meetings with MDA counterparts. Work in small teams comprised of 4-8 multi-discipline engineers. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. Required Skills: 4 years of experience with analysis tools using MATLAB, Python, FORTRAN, or similar language environment to model system behaviors to generate performance requirements. Experience in analysis of data to define performance requirements for a complex system. Excellent communication skills and work in a small team environment. Active Secret security clearance. Desired Skills: Experience in analyzing and predicting performance of any of the following: ballistic missiles, rockets, or interceptors using MATLAB or similar tools. Familiarity with FORTRAN, Python, or Systems engineering experience generating component or system-level specification requirements and interface documents. Ability to prepare, organize, and present briefings/demonstrations to team members and team leadership. Knowledge of one or more of the MDA capabilities and ability to describe a typical mission thread is a plus. Master’s or PhD.
