This job was posted by https://joblink.alabama.gov : For more information, please see: https://joblink.alabama.gov/ada/r/jobs/2392450 This position typically requires working in a small team environment, with coordination to larger teams, to plan and perform electrical/electronic system design and integration activities in support of the NASA Space Launch System (SLS) Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) labs. The HWIL labs include the Software Integration and Test Facility (SITF), Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), and multiple Software Development Facilities (SDFs) that will be used to verify the integrated avionics and software systems for the SLS rocket at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center.Work will be performed for the Avionics and Ground Systems Test Branch (ES53) of the SLS program. This branch is responsible for maintenance, fabrication, integration, operation, assembly, and testing of project hardware and software in support of the noted SLS labs.This position's primary responsibilities include:Work in a small team environment to plan and perform system integration and test activities for the SIL, SITF, and SDF labs.Aid in the development, integration and testing of the Exploration Upper Stage (EUS) within the various SLS labs.Employ technical problem solving skills to engineer solutions that meet the requirements and needs of our NASA customer.Communicate risks, issues and solutions to peers with various technical backgrounds and areas of expertise.A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an ABET accredited institution is required. Typically, educational requirement is a BS.
